Miss Forrest was the founder and director of the Hampton All-City Ensemble. During her teaching career, Miss Forrest's choirs consistently received excellent and superior ratings at a variety of regional, state, national festivals. She taught choral music in the Hampton City Public Schools for 34 years. in Choral Music Education from Radford University. Additionally, he produced and conducted the 50th Anniversary Celebration of West Side Story with the Visual and Performing Arts Academy from Salem High School. Brewington has performed in and led pit orchestras throughout his career, including performances of Godspell, Carrousel, Chicago, The Music Man, The Princess and the Pea, and dozens of church musicals and holiday pageants. In 2014 he was named Virginia Theatre Educator of the Year by the Virginia Theatre Association. Brewington received the National Administrator of the Year Award from the Educational Theatre Association for his distinguished contributions and service to educational theater. Brewington is in his 34th year in public education that has included positions as director of bands at Kempsville Middle School in Virginia Beach and as adjunct professor at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. #The little theatre of norfolk professionalHe is in his 14th season as the Music Director and Conductor of the Tidewater Winds, a professional concert band in the Sousa tradition, conducting more than 20 concerts annually. John Brewington is the Fine Arts Coordinator for Virginia Beach City Public Schools where he oversees music education and theatre for 85 schools. Corriveau also taught as adjunct faculty for Christopher Newport University and is a Past President Corriveau has received awards from the Kennedy Center for his Scenic Designs of WEST SIDE STORY and HURLYBURLY, a Portfolio Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy and has been nominated for the National Arts Medal and twice for an Alli Award. Corriveau has co-created two Virginia Opera programs I Hear America Singing! and History Alive! Mr. programs Destination Democracy and Civics Alive! Mr. He continues to work as an educator for the Kids Voting U.S.A. Corriveau published his work WAITING FOR GODOT: A VAUDEVILLIAN APPROACH, has presented workshops at The Kennedy Center in conjunction with Opera for Youth on Creating an Interactive Residency and Incorporating the Arts into Your State Curriculum and at the National Opera America Conference on Developing Audiences and the Next Generation. He has taught Acting, Voice/Diction and Dialects, Theatre History, Stagecraft and Multicultural Theatre at various theatres, colleges and universities across the country. and Bill Cosby in both television and stage performances. Corriveau has had the pleasure of working professionally with such notables as former First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton, Julie Andrews, Lily Tomlin, Gregory Hines, Bruno Kirby, Ed Begley, Jr. from Franklin Pierce College, in Performance/Directing and Scenic Design/Stage Management. from the University of Maine Orono, in Theatre History and Criticism, and his B.A. from Lindenwood University, in Directing, an M.A. He has worked with in many styles of the performing arts from Musical Theatre to Opera and Ballet to National Tours. Corriveau has worked in the arts for the past 25 years professionally and academically directing, designing, acting and coaching more than 250 productions throughout the U.S.
